Flying Blue Doxie’s Cut Optimizer with Less Move (“the tool”) is offered free of charge by Flying Blue Doxie. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the tool.

1. A guide only

The tool suggests fence settings, cut lengths and sheet layouts from the numbers you type in. It knows nothing about your saw, your blade, your material or your experience, and its results can be wrong: through a mistake in what was typed, in how it was read, or in the tool itself.

2. Check before you cut

Measure and check every dimension, the kerf and every layout against your own project and material before you cut anything. A plan is not a substitute for measuring.

3. Your safety is your own

Table saws and other power tools can cause serious injury. A plan says where the cuts go. It does not say how to make a cut safely, or whether a cut is safe on your saw, including narrow rips and cuts that fall on the far side of the blade. Follow your tools’ manuals and safe shop practice, use the guard, riving knife and push sticks, and never make a cut you are unsure of.

4. You are solely responsible

You alone decide whether and how to use anything the tool shows, and you are solely responsible for the results, including wasted or damaged material, parts that do not fit, lost time, and any injury to any person or damage to any property.

5. No warranty

The tool is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. It may change or stop at any time.

6. No liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Flying Blue Doxie and its owner are not liable for any loss, injury or damage of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential, that arises from using the tool or relying on its results, even if told it could happen. Where the law does not allow some of these limits, they apply as far as it does.

7. Your cut lists stay with you

Your projects are kept in this browser’s storage and in the files you save. The tool does not send them anywhere. Clearing this browser’s data deletes them, so keep your own copy with Save all.

8. Changes

These terms may change. When they do, you will be asked to accept the new version before using the tool again.
